Taeyong Park
Welcome! I am a visiting assistant professor and associate director of Statistical Consulting Center at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis in 2017. My research interests include quantitative methods (Building longitudinal Google search data to measure dynamic local-level public attention; Developing Bayesian statistical methods for time series modeling and causal inference) and American politics and policy (Local economic voting; Mass shootings and voter turnout; Electoral context and campaign strategy; Spatial policy dependence). I teach a range of applied statistics and data science courses.
